- Abstract
The article examines the simulation of the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) amplification as a branching process. The cyclic mechanism of the PCR makes it possible to synchronize step-by-step amplification of all molecules. An imitational model of amplification process is proposed to estimate the distribution of probabilities for almost any number of amplification cycles. It is considered difficult to reach equal efficiency of synthesis of two complementary strands when PCR is used.
