Cairney, John
- Abstract
The author comments on a study which found that children with emotional and behavioral disorders also present with significant gross motor problems. He emphasizes that in considering the association between motor coordination and anxiety for example, he believes that over time anxiety may lead to avoidance of activities that require motor coordination, which further leads to impaired development of motor skills through childhood.
