- Abstract
The article presents a study on the financial behavior of Business Administration students at the University of Cundinamarca, Facatativá Extension. The results show that students have a purchasing power equivalent to the legal minimum wage in Colombia, prefer in-person purchases, and do not apply the financial knowledge acquired in the program. The importance of strengthening savings, investment, and consumption practices, as well as financial education in decision-making, is highlighted. It is proposed to implement an educational model that includes financial intelligence as a cross-cutting competence in the curriculum. Additionally, the importance of financial cooperatives and the need to improve financial education at all educational levels are mentioned.
