- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 45-year-old female with a two-month history of an itchy erythematous rash on her neck and cheek. She was instructed to apply 0.3% prednisolone valerate acetate ointment but she continued to use her cosmetics with gradual worsening of the symptoms. Patch test was performed with her 17 cosmetics allergens and personal cosmetics. The article discusses the possibility of allergic contact dermatitis caused by skin-lightening agents in cosmetics.
