- Abstract
Dear Editor, We read with interest the paper of Ciccarese I et al i .1 on dermatological manifestations of Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) infection. In our patient, the association between GGA onset and acute EBV infection represented a serendipitous discovery. Despite the fact that more than 90% of adults are seropositive for EBV antibodies, the occurrence of GGA is very rare.2 On the other hand, we cannot exclude that EBV-related GGA eruptions could be under-diagnosed.
