- Abstract
The article offers information on the role and functionality of the Joint Commission on Correctional Manpower and Training agency in the U.S. It is stated that the Joint Commission has been known to be a private nonprofit agency which is affiliated by some 90 professional and national organizations in the country, including the Child Welfare League of America, the Family Service Association of America and the National Council on Crime and Delinquency. The agency provides services which cover juveniles as well as the adult correctional fields. Information regarding the history of the establishment of the agency has been provided.
