- Abstract
This study investigates the efficacy of chewable tablets made from the Pleurotus djamor zinc polysaccharide (PCT‐Zn) against the nonylphenol (NPs) induced male reproductive damage in mice. The trial takes the form of constructing a model by infusing NPs into mice, followed by treatment with PCT‐Zn solution infusion 1 h later, for a total of 8 weeks. It is found that PCT‐Zn shows potential effects on increasing the testicular coefficients, enhancing the antioxidant activities, and inhibiting the apoptotic and inflammatory responses, which indicate that PCT‐Zn has the effect of alleviating the NPs‐induced reproductive damage. The results of the experiment suggest that the P. djamor zinc polysaccharide can be used as a dietary supplement to develop appropriate products to alleviate reproductive damage caused by environmental pollutants.
