- Abstract
The article discusses the challenges and opportunities of implementing personalized medicine in the U.S. It cites that personalized medicine offers healthcare solutions that will be more effective for individual patients and in the use of healthcare resources with benefits increasing to patients, providers, and payers. It is noted that although personalized medicine yield better clinical and economic value, the cost of development is just as great and the return on investment is challenging.
