- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a woman with atypical squamous cells of undetermined significance. The patient had a history of abnormal Papanicolaou tests. The patient underwent a colonoscopy. The patient was diagnosed with a sexually transmissible infection. The article presents the patient's reflections on her pelvic examinations and her sexual activities. The patient suggests that physicians communicate the importance of Papanicolaou tests. The article discusses the impact of cervical cancer screening on the incidence of squamous cell cervical cancer in the United States.
