- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 72-year-old man who was admitted to the hospital due to complaints of dyspnea and generalized edema. His physical examination revealed coarse and deceased breath sounds with moist rales along with negative results of viral makers and autoantibodies. He was also diagnosed with polyarteritis nodosa (PAN) which is considered a systemic necrotizing vasculitis that involves renal and visceral arteries that cause weight loss, fever and hypertension.
