- Abstract
The article focuses on the funding problems facing the Teaching Health Center Graduate Medical Education (THCGME) program in the U.S. which is funded since 2011 and set to expire in 2015. Topics covered include how the funding instability is threatening the viability of the program, the role of the program in increasing the numbers of primary care physicians and dentists training to care for underserved populations in the country, and a study to support that THCGME requires stable funding.
