- Abstract
The article presents the response of the readers of this journal on whether nurses have become detached from patients. One of the readers state that nurses are so overloaded with administrative tasks that they are not able to take care of patients. Another reader states that although health care assistants are doing the work previously done by nurses but nurses are not detached from their patients. Yet another reader responds that nurses have detached from patient care since the late 1980s.
