- Abstract
Anticancer drugs (Doxorubicin, Methotrexate, Daunorubicin, etc.,) shows excellent activity on killing cancer cells, equal amount of cytotoxicity is also observed in healthy cells as well due to its non-specificity. Modern drug delivery systems proved that the stimuli sensitive peptide-drug conjugate as an alternate method to overcome this problem of severe side effects caused by the anticancer agents. Therefore, our research group designed a novel hypothesize that, a combination of pH and thermo sensitive peptide-drug conjugate, a prodrug concept could be the lead method for the treatment of modern chemotherapy to solid tumors. This dual-sensitive peptide-drug conjugate combination strategy will develop a pioneer drug carrier in the field of drug delivery systems (DDS).
