- Abstract
The multi-party life experienced in Turkey after the Second World War brought the era of prime ministers, which had a wide impact on the society and attracted the attention of the public. unlike the one-party era. The social life after the 1950s, when the migration from the village to the city increased and industrialization and urbanization accelerated, also reflected its influence on political life. Political leaders, adopted by the human type brought by the new sociology, reached to the chair of prime minister. Among these, it has been possible to observe the political portraits of Adnan Menderes and Turgut Özal, whose uninterrupted power and long political lives are prominent in the social life. Having a unique place in Turkish poetry and intellectual life, Sezai Karakoç's evaluations of the political life he has witnessed since the 1950s are scattered in his various works. Most of them remained on the pages of journals. The Diriliş intellectual movement developed by Karakoç since the 1960s has a structure that also foresees political and social transformation. Karakoç evaluated Turkish politics on behalf of the future of the Islamic world from the perspective of Diriliş on many occasions, especially on the occasion of the Diriliş Party, which was founded in 1990. It also considers it necessary to have portraits of politicians in this context. For this reason, in this study, it is aimed to reveal Karakoç's view on Turkish political life, which has not been evaluated to the extent it deserves until today, through describing and through political leaders.
