- Abstract
The article focuses on the contradiction between the novel of Jan Koplowitz entitled "Bohemia, mein Schicksal" and Horst Seemann's film "Hotel Polan und seine Gäste." According to the author, Koplowitz' novel traces back the story of Jewish family from Bohemia, Czech Republic through the first half of the 20th century. However, the East greed for money and desire for political power. The article provides a quote from Koplowitz, in which he talks about how the movie made him try to commit suicide.
