- Title
The Jewish Calendar--A Mix of Astronomy and Theology.
- Authors
Gartenhaus, Solomon
- Abstract
The article focuses on the Jewish calendar which is thought to be a product of time engineering. It is inferred that the Jewish calendar is based on the relationship between the mean period of the lunar movement around the earth and the mean period of the earth on the sun. The relationship showed that the number of days in 19 tropical years is equivalent to the number of days in 235 lunar cycles. The calendar is also intertwined with the days of the week based on the first day of Tishri.
