- Abstract
The article focuses on the lessons that can learned by the National Health Service (NHS) in England from the Scottish Patient Safety Programme. Topics discussed include the plan by NHS to set up a network of Patient Safety Collaboratives (PSCs), the role played by senior nurses and managers in implementing the Scottish programme and the importance of good leadership across the healthcare team. Also include are the insights of senior nurse Barbara-Anne Niven on the issue.
