- Abstract
The article discusses research done on the association of coronary artery calcification (CAC) with lower bone formation rate in chronic kidney disease (CKD) predialysis patients. The association between CAC and bone histomorphometric parameters was investigated using undecalcified bone biopsy and multislice coronary tomography. It found that CAC is highly prevalent in asymptomatic CKD patients. Information on vascular calcification is also presented.
