- Abstract
The article discusses the provisions of the Supreme Court's new general pleading standard in civil suits in the U.S. It highlights the case Tellabs Inc. v. Makor Issues & Rights Ltd., which focused the heightened pleading standard for civil actions brought under the Private Securities Litigation Reform Act of 1995. It explores the general civil pleading standard in the federal court as well as the Supreme Court's criminal pleading and probable cause jurisprudence.
