- Abstract
The article discusses the size, shape and character of Mennonite migration from Russia to Canada in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Topics covered include migrant families' Russian origin, Canadian destination and church affiliation, agriculture-related factors affecting the migration of Russian Mennonites, factors that attracted migrants to Canada such as free homesteads and good soils, and sociopolitical issues that played a role in Mennonite migrations between 1890 and 1903.
