- Abstract
The article focuses on several paleoscience researches suggesting need for public policy to cope with a event like Mount Mazama, Oregon ash fall. Topics discussed include a study by researcher Duane Froese on volcanic ash particles to track ash from eruptions over the past 100,000 years, a study on tree rings in the Rocky Mountains by researcher David Sauchyn for the same, requirement for emergency planning to handle human migrations in response to disasters.
