LAUDER, ADAM
- Abstract
The article examines the participation of Canadian conceptual artist Iain Baxter& in the exhibition "Information," held at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York City. Emphasis is given to the place of Baxter&'s Telex and Telecopier works in the exhibition. The role of curator Kynaston McShine in the development of the exhibition is also detailed, with the author explaining how he outsourced much of the curatorial work. More broadly, the author is concerned with the managerial practices and corporate structure of Baxter&'s N.E. Thing Company (NETC) and their importance to the organizational decentralization of MoMA.
