- Authors
TROMP, ALICIA
- Abstract
A literary criticism of the essay "My Platonic Sweetheart" by Mark Twain is presented. It argues that the author's dreams depicting young women discussed within essay represent both platonic relationships and well as an understanding of Platonism. Topics considered include transcendent truths, Greek philosopher Plato's theory of the Forms, and idealism.
