Optic nerve sheath diameter measurement using ultrasonography: associations with in-hospital mortality in COVID-19 intensive care unit admissions. Third, APACHE II and SOFA scores are evaluated on admission to the ICU,[[3], [5]] but this study showed that ONSD was assessed within the first 3 h of ICU stay after patient's condition stabilized,[1] indicating that ONSD appears to be restricted to the timing after ICU admission and patient status. We would like to share some ideas in the report by Gültekin and Güven[1] investigating the relationship between the diameter of the optic nerve sheath diameter (ONSD) and the mortality of the intensive care unit (ICU) in people with COVID-19, revealing that ONSD is the main predictor of ICU mortality for patients infecting with COVID-19.
