- Abstract
The article discusses the jurisprudence of the tribunal the European Court of Human Rights concerning its evaluation of the right to life within the legal context of counterterrorism operations by law enforcement. It examines the Court's principles regarding Article 2 of the agreement the European Convention on Human Rights, the Court's invocation of the concept of the margin of appreciation in the case Finogenov v. Russia, and claims surrounding a breach of the right to life in the case Tagayeva and Others v. Russia.
