- Abstract
The article presents a William A. Zellmar lecture which discusses the development and implementation of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) policy process. The author states that this process can be refined by understanding context, especially its role as a catalyst in transforming pharmacy practice, and capitalizing on drug information and nurturing ethical awareness. Also discussed are the professional and ethical challenges in pharmacy and the rational use of medicines. INSET: Willam A. Zellmer Lecture.
