- Abstract
The article discusses the possibility that the Australian Army can use armored vehicles under the Land 400 project for air defense function. Topics discussed include the replacement of obsolescent Australian Light Armored Vehicles (ASLAVs) and M-113 armored personnel carrier under Phase 2 and Phase 3, the possibility of equipping LAND 400 vehicles with ground-to-air missiles, and defense company Rheinmetall AG's manufacture of the Lance turret and its digital fire control system.
