- Abstract
The article discusses an 18th century book written by German lawyer Georg Paul Hönn, regarding various types of vocational deceit and fraud. The book contains descriptions of more than 300 18th century jobs, their responsibilities, and their failures. Special attention is paid to the entry on librarians, in which criticisms are given of poor library tours, sloppy lending practices, and insufficient service.
