Title
Subcutaneous Furosemide Infusion Device.
Abstract
The article focuses on the development of a small patient-applied infuser pump for a concentrated pH-neutral formulation of furosemide, which has been compared to intravenous (IV) bolus administration. It studies demonstrate that the subcutaneous furosemide infusion device is well-tolerated, feasible, and provides similar bioavailability to IV furosemide, offering a potential practical alternative for managing heart failure patients requiring loop diuretics.
