- Abstract
The article discusses regionalism and American regionalistic writers and authors. It is argued that writers who are discussing universal themes must begin at a local level in order for their works not to get generalized. An overview of the works of writers and their works, such as Booth Tarkington's "The Magnificent Ambersons" and Elizabeth Roberts' "The Time of Man," that feature their hometowns and region is offered. The author emphasizes the need for readers to patronize the authors, artists and musicians of their place.
