- Title
FEDERALISM UNDER OBAMA.
- Authors
Metzger, Gillian E.
- Abstract
The article focuses on federalism in the U.S. during U.S. President Barack Obama's presidency (2008 to 2012). The author discusses how the Obama administration implemented large overhauls of legislation including the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform & Consumer Protection Act which effectively limits state sovereignty. It is noted that the expansion of federal powers often preempts state power.
