- Authors
THOMPSON, JEZ
- Abstract
The article discusses the prevalence of smoking habits in surgery patients in England listed in The Health Improvement Network as having undergone finished consultant episodes. It is noted that the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence had recommended the provision of smoking cessation assistance to former inpatients through behavioral support and pharmacotherapy. A recommendation is made to extend these to outpatients as well.
