- Abstract
The article describes the case of a 69-year-old woman with nonunited insufficiency fracture of the left proximal tibia and the distal femur. The woman complained of mild pain in the left knee lasting for 3 months and was provided with a knee brace and advised to avoid weight bearing during ambulation on crutches. The pain recurred after one year. Her plain X-rays and magnetic resonance images showed progression of the varus deformity. High tibial osteotomy was performed.
