- Abstract
The article discusses the admission of an older man with small bowel obstruction (SBO). He complained of 2-day duration abdominal pain and distension, and gave a history of accidentally swallowed a large durian seed 3 days before the pain. The patient went through an abdominal X-ray which revealed air fluid levels suggestive of SBO. Images showing a foreign body obstruction at the terminal ileum with small bowel dilatation and a durian seed being removed by enterostomy are provided.
