The article reports that Shinya Yamanaka and his colleagues at Kyoto University in Kyoto, Japan have developed a chemical recipe that can program adult mouse cells into an embryonic state to repair damaged tissues or organs. They said that it takes only four chemicals to program the cells. When they added these four chemicals to fibroblasts during their experiment, they said that the cells looked and behaved a lot like a mouse embryonic stem cells.
