Presents a study of the orientational order in thin films of disclike heptameric polycyclosiloxane molecules. Examination of disclike heptameric polycyclosiloxane (HPCS) whose molecules have a sixfold axis of symmetry; Use of the inclined polarized beam method for the quantitative estimation of the ordering of molecular structures; Assessment of the effects related to the orientation molecular structures by birefringence; Preparation of the films by depositing HPCS onto horizontally arranged sides.
