- Abstract
With the increase of traffic volume, it is necessary to develop railway capacity expansion projects, and the deformation and stability problems caused by the projects should also be focused. To know the current research level on the deformation and stability of operating railway capacity expansion with widening side in all directions, a literatures review from 2003 to 2023 were orderly sorted out, and the main research contents and development history of the problems were generalized. Subsequently, the affected factors of the problems were divided, the influencing laws of each affected factors were exposed and the evaluation methods on the safety evaluation were concluded. Then, the principles and limitations of each evaluation method were presented, the control technique for the deformation and stability problems were classified systematically, and the suitability, merits and demerits, and effectiveness of the prevention and control actions were contrasted. Based on the deficiencies of the current research actuality, suggestions were presented for the research on the deformation and stability of operating railway capacity expansion with widening side. Comparison was made for the pros and cons of the methods in terms of their effects. Finally, in view of the deficiency of current research, suggestions were presented for the stability and deformation control of the widening of operation railways.
