Abstract
The article reports on the adoption of stylistic conventions to avoid a confusing mix of spelling conventions, quotation styles and bibliographic references in the work of expatriate writer W. G. Sebald. It discusses the popularity of Sebald because of the publication of his work by different publishers, both hardback and paperback. It elaborates the use of English spelling in the book "W.G. Sebald: Schreiben ex patria/Expatriate Writing."
