- Abstract
The article offers a study of heavy metals in clams (Tapes decussatus), oysters (Crassostrea angulata), and cockles (Cardium edule) in the estuary in Huelva, Spain. It states that the concentrations of the heavy metals, which include copper, chromium, and mercury, vary among the bivalve mollusks. It states that the oysters have high copper content, while clams and cockles have higher values of chromium.
