- Abstract
This research report is a descriptive case study on perception of parents and teachers about the process of school inclusion that is being carried out in some educational institutions in the city of Santa Marta (Colombia)with children between five and ten years of age with autism spectrum. The study was developed through an, and a questionnaire, answered by parents and teachers participating in the research. The results show that children with ASD benefit from being included in regular institutions, as they have improved cognitive and behavioral skills. However, some shortcomings are identified in order to successfully carry out this process, such as the lack of flexibility and adaptability of the curriculum, and the lack of space and resources adapted to the characteristics and needs of children with disabilities.
