- Authors
Bulakh, Maria; Kogan, Leonid
- Abstract
A literary criticism is presented on a fourteenth-century Arabic grammar text from Arab grammarian Abū Ḥayyān. The authors discuss the Ethiopian Semitic pronouns and verbs in the scrap, which declines the phrase 'he beat,' and analyze the tense of the verb. The authors cite the article "A Noteworthy Passage from an Arab Grammatical Text" by Sidney Glazer, and discuss the languages East Gurage, Zway, and Selti.
