- Abstract
This study aimed to identifying the impact of knowledge management on Organizational Ambidexterity of Jordanian Insurance Companies. The current study based on four dimensions of knowledge management as follows: Knowledge discovery, knowledge capture, knowledge sharing and knowledge application, in addition to the four mentioned dimensions, this study has also followed two dimensions of organizational Ambidexterity, namely; Exploring opportunities and Exploitation opportunities. The population of the study consisted of (395) managers working in high and middle managerial positions in Jordanian Insurance Companies. The study has followed the stratified random sampling method where a number of (196) questionnaires were distributed, but the researchers was able only to collect (141) questionnaires out of them. The (141) questionnaires were collected and statistically analyzed using a number of statistical methods, with the most important of them are Multiple Regression Coefficient. The current study came out with a number of results, the most important of which are finding a high levels average of knowledge management dimensions in Jordanian Insurance Companies, such as: knowledge discovery, knowledge sharing, knowledge application, and middle average for knowledge capture, high level average of organizational Ambidexterity (exploring opportunities, exploiting opportunities). The results of the study indicated that there is a statistically significant effect of knowledge management on organizational Ambidexterity. In terms of the results of the current study, the researchers suggests a set of recommendations that could help the management of Jordanian insurance companies to raise the levels of the dimensions of knowledge management, organizational Ambidexterity, and to achieve a good balance between them. The researchers also recommends the managers to encourage all who may concern among suppliers and clients to offer some developmental ideas to precedence over competitors.
