- Abstract
The present study aims to analyze the Burnout Syndrome in Community Health Agents during the COVID-19 pandemic period. The research is a descriptive, qualitative study, using the content analysis technique, carried out in a municipality of Rio Grande do Norte with seven Community Health Agents in the municipality, where data were collected through semi-structured interviews based on the MBI scale - Maslach Burnout Inventory. Based on the analyzed data, six of the seven interviewees showed signs of emotional exhaustion, two showed signs of depersonalization, and none of them had a poor professional performance. However, considering that Burnout is a systemic relationship between these three dimensions, it cannot be said that they tend to develop the syndrome. In addition, this study contributed to alerting about the necessary care to avoid the development of burnout in ACS since the illness of employees directly interferes with their work relationships.
