- Abstract
The article presents the views of Richard N. Cooper, Professor of International Economics at Harvard University, on the issue of inflation in the emerging market economies. Cooper believes that low inflation in emerging markets was caused by the low inflation in the developed countries, the disciplined monetary policy and the increased competition in tradable goods worldwide. Furthermore, he cited the lower of inflation in Europe, the U.S. and Japan. Other information on the opinions of Cooper are also mentioned.
