- Abstract
The article presents a conventional predictive validity study and a college freshman norm group for the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS). The author highlights information concerning the validity in the use of WAIS to predict collegiate education success, as well as describe the intellectual climate of a college freshman class so as to facilitate education predictions made from the WAIS. Results of the study reveal that collegiate education predictions from WAIS scores is determined to be as good as or better than similar predictions from the ACE test. In addition, WAIS norm group for college freshmen was displayed to be an addition to the educational counseling materials in schools and other agencies wherein WAIS might be employed.
