- Title
LEGAL AND POLITICAL ASPECTS OF THE INTEGRATION OF UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE AND SUB PLANS.
- Authors
Chernick, Jack; Naef, Charles R.
- Abstract
This article explores the reasons for the divergent rulings of the several states which have passed on the legality of the integration of unemployment insurance and SUB plans. Based upon an examination of the relevant administrative rulings, court cases, and state statutes, the authors' principal conclusion is that in most instances the fate of integration was determined less by statutory language than by the political setting in which the issue was decided.
