- Abstract
This article explores the usefulness of scientific analysis to business profitability, the importance of observation, skills, rigor and critical thought and management science than mathematics. The author credited the management lessons taught by scientist Louis Pasteur on the use of scientific investigation to solve the problems that confronted the silk industry operations of France in the mid 1800s. Steps on how Pasteur was able to resolve the problems of silk industry in France was supplied by the author.
