- Title
CANADA'S NORTH in a CHANGING CLIMATE.
- Authors
NALLAINATHAN, MEENA
- Abstract
The article focuses on the research done by Sandra Owens on climate change at Nain, a northern coastal community in the region of Nunatsiavut in Canada. Owens carried out the research as part of her master's thesis at Laval University in Quebec City, Quebec. She spoke to women of the area as she believed that little research has been done on climate change from a gender-specific perspective. All the women spoke about changes in the snow, ice and storm patterns and the effects on their lives.
