- Abstract
The article presents a study that reports the observed appearance of cetaceans in the Tsugaru Strait of Japan. It states that two ferries conducted the survey for 58 days along the Hakodate-Aomori route between May 2003 and November 2004. Their data reveals that at least seven cetacean species were sighted during their search including Lagenorhynchus obliquidens, Delphinus delphis, and Phocoenoides dalli. It states that Lagenorhynchus obliquidens, the most common specie sighted during the survey, was regularly observed between late March 2004 and early July 2004.
