- Abstract
In this study, it was aimed to investigate the effects of mental well-being and personality traits of intern physicians on their attitudes towards the medical profession. The research includes 150 senior students studying at Süleyman Demirel University Faculty of Medicine. In the study, the concepts of medicine, internship, mental well-being and personality were investigated within the framework of the relevant literature, and hypotheses were developed as a result of this research. As a result of the regression analysis conducted to determine the effect of mental well-being and personality on attitudes towards the medical profession, it was found that mental well-being had a significant effect on helping and willingness, which are subdimensions of attitudes towards the medical profession. It has been determined that openness to experiences, one of the sub-dimensions of personality, has a significant effect on commitment to the profession, which is one of the sub-dimensions of the attitude towards the profession of medicine.
